As the National Construction Center for NIOSH, CPWR conducts industry-driven research on existing and emerging hazards to better understand the risks, analyze and interpret key data, and find practical solutions and approaches to protect workers. We highlight that research in a number of forms, including the types of publications listed below.
CPWR Reports — Short reports on a wide range of construction safety and health topics, from a surveillance of fatal and non-fatal injuries among construction workers over a 10 year period, to specialized reports on designing for safety and the hazards faced by concrete truck drivers – and recommendations.
Key Findings — One-page summaries of data from peer-reviewed study results of exposure levels and hazard controls, safety incentives, evaluation of training programs, and much more
Peer-Reviewed Journal Articles — A listing of study results from CPWR researchers and consortium partners published in peer-reviewed journals such as the American Journal of Industrial Medicine, Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene, and the International Journal of Occupational and Environmental Health.
